Summary: The purpose of this program was to help enlighten the youth to be able to achieve their dreams.
Location: KNUST, Kumasi.
Issue: Most youths in colleges, universities and other institutions do find it hard to get a job after completing college. They all depend on the government for employment. Others too try to get opportunities to travel abroad to continue their education but are robbed off their money by scrupulous people.
Solution: This initiative aimed to give society’s youth the knowledge and abilities they would require realizing their ambitions (youth development). For the purpose of communicating with the young about how they might realize their ambitions with the aid of youth development, guest speakers were invited to the event.
The program’s opening speaker was Sika of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2015. She discussed methods young people might support their own entrepreneurial endeavors while attending college or a university and also demonstrated the steps they can take to realize their aspirations. She also exhorted the youth to avoid waiting.
The program’s second speaker was Mr. Ebenezer Owusu, CEO of Expert Travel Consult. He discussed a variety of travel alternatives, including employment, study abroad, and many others. He demonstrated how to apply for a passport and a visa to the young people. He also provided free registration for America to all participants, both members, and non-members.
The youth was greatly helped by this program in learning how to work independently without needing government assistance. The program also had an impact on the knowledge of youth development and the skills necessary for them to work independently.
Potential long-term impact: We are confident that everyone who participated in this program would be inspired and equipped with entrepreneurial knowledge to work as hard as they can to realize their goals independently of the government. This will also provide them the best route for pursuing a career overseas.
